It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Ray Glisson Sr. of Gastonia, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on August 24, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Glisson and Sadie Glisson; and his siblings, Tom Glisson, Geneva Cunningham and Betty Hicks.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Barnes Glisson; his sons, David Ray Glisson, Jr. and Kevin Glisson (Brenda); his grandchildren, Aaron Glisson, Matthew Glisson (Ashley Welch), Trent Glisson and Summer Glisson; and his great grandchildren, Brody Glisson and Mataley Glisson.
