He was predeceased by: his parents, David Evander Cooper and Ella Bunce Cooper; his former wife Shirley Riggan Cooper; and his siblings, Patty Ivey, Barbara Kingman, Charlie Cooper and Sammy Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Eraine Costner Cooper; his children, Amber Cooper Blackwood (Scott), Heather Cooper Hinson (Fred), Star Cooper Smith (Eric), David Evander Cooper III, Steven Wayne Cooper (Kim), Christopher Riggan Cooper (Kathleen) and Brian Quincy Cooper (Toni); his stepchildren, Samantha Hibberts, James Messer, Paul Messer, Ben Hibberts (Megan), Michael Hibberts and Bradley Messer; and his siblings, Tommy Cooper (Doris), Johnny Cooper (Debbie), Michael Cooper (Tammy), Elaine Morgan, Vicki Woods, Mary Ann Bedwell and Dorothy Chilton (Gary). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 14 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
