He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lucien Pinnix and Louise Pinnix; his sons, David Michael Pinnix of Columbus and Jeffrey Scott Howle of Charlotte; his grandsons, Chase and Ethan of Charlotte; his siblings, Barbara Meigs of Midlothian, Carol McNutt of Hendersonville, Bill (Terry) of Kannapolis and John (Mary) of Chattanooga; and the mother of his children Judith Howle.

“I was Dr. Pinnix’s piano student, 1969-1973 at Greensboro College. I talked to him recently, told him what a difference he had made in my life. He helped me become a much better pianist but more than that. I became a United Methodist pastor, served churches 40 years. I told him because of perfecting piano pieces I had a strong work ethic throughout my ministry- tried to make each worship service as excellent as possible. Please be In touch.
