She is survived by: her husband Ron Wimmer; her brother Kevin Conrad (Heidi); her children, Mark Wimmer (Karen) and Amy Portis; her grandchildren, Christopher Portis (Sara), Katie Trinidad (Luis), Ryan and Ben Wimmer; and her great grandchildren, Avery and Wyatt Portis.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Humane Society of Charlotte.
