She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. John H. Christy, Jr.; and her siblings, Maxey, John, Richard Crowder, Louise Leonard, Edith Cloninger, Helen Finch and Geneva Warren.
She is survived by: her sisters, Lillian Crowder and Mildred Crowder Little of Chapel Hill; her siblings-in-law, Janice Crowder of High Point, Barbara Crowder of Asheville and Bob Christy (Peggy) of Black Mountain; and her children, Rev. Josh (Tara), Wesley, Micah, Anna (Aaron), Mark Christy, LuAnn, Megan, Taylor, Rev. Paul Christy, Rev. Zach (Crystal), Eli, Ella, Caroline (Nick), Rev. David Christy, Pam, Rev. Luke (Kelly) and Maggie. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the "John Christy Benevolence Fund" for needy persons through First United Methodist Church, 566 S Haywood St, Waynesville, NC 28786.
