He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hayden and Avis Phillips McMillan; and his brothers-in-law, Darrell Hartgrove and Jay Martin. He is survived by: his daughter Brandy McMillan; his wife Terry Hartgrove; his mother-in-law Janette Hartgrove; his pet Prince Howard McMillan; and his siblings, Pat Martin, Deb Hyder (Steve) and Terry McMillan (Tina). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 308 York Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
