He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Leo and Doris Catherine Mcanany McGowan; and his son Charles McGowan Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Luetta Peck McGowan; his daughter Wendy O'Donnell of Rhode Island; and his siblings, Robert McGowan (Jean) of Rhode Island and Sandra McGowan of Rhode Island. He is also survived by five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
