He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Griffie and Jessie Griffie; his wife Phyllis Griffie; his siblings, Rebecca Morris and Ronnie Griffie; and his son Todd Griffie.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Griffie (Susan) and Tracy Allman; his sister Kandi Lowery (Paul); his grandchildren, Dale Warlick and Christopher Griffie; and his great grandchild Ethan Warlick.
