He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Harris and Nila Mae King Harris. He is survived by: his wife Kay Beaty Harris; his daughters, Marla Harris Bowman of Gastonia and Stacey Harris Pearson of Belmont; his siblings, Calvin Harris (Judy) of Belmont and Linda Hunt (Jerry) of Belmont; his grandchildren, Erica Etter (Justin), Walker Bowman and Clayton Pearson; and his great grandchild Lilly.
