Cathy Lynn McKinney Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cathy Lynn McKinney of Gastonia, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Edward and Elizabeth McKinney (Manuel); her husband John J. Bruzgis; and her siblings, Albert McKinney and Judith McKinney.
She is survived by: her daughter Rhonda Smartt (Roger) of Gastonia, NC; her siblings, Shirley Hart of Meadville, Joyce Pittard (Jim) of Lynchburg, VA and Ralph McKinney (Rod Henry) of Gastonia, NC; and her grandchildren, Andrew Bruzgis, Madyson Smartt and Lydia Smartt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rose and Waid Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. - Meadville (581 Chestnut St, Meadville, PA 16335). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of Grace Church (1085 Water St, Meadville, PA 16335).
