She was predeceased by: her parents, Enoch Crisp and Lela Crisp; her husband Keith Draughn; her children, Donna Penley Byrd and William Penley; her siblings, Evelyn Crisp, Howard Crisp, Ray Crisp, Walter Crisp, Oliver Crisp and James Crisp; and her granddaughters, Melissa Byrd and Shelley Burgess.
She is survived by: her daughter Carolyn Penley; her sister Virginia Braswell; and her grandchildren, Logan Scott, Janith Scott (Samantha Scott), Justin Bradford (Jusena Grant), Jessica Turner (Reuben Turner), Roy Burgess (Erica Burgess), William Burgess, Catherine Hill (Ernest Hill), Crystal Brown (Jonah Brown) and Dawn Belk (Brian Belk). She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren; beloved sisters-in-law; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the City Church (3100 City Church St, Gastonia, NC 28056).
