He was predeceased by: his parents, Carson R. Black, Sr. and Florence Coon Black; his wife Patsy Ann Cabiness Black; and his siblings, Millie Cole, Charles Howard Black, Randolph Black and Stanley Gene Black.
He is survived by: his children, Carson "Trip" R. Black, III (Angie) of Dallas, NC, Rebecca "Becky" Yevonne Black Bridges (Mark) of Gastonia, NC and Gwendolyn "Gwen" Ann Black Angel (Joe) of Canton, GA; his sister Linda Dunn of Pine Bluff, NC; and his grandchildren, Seth Black (Caroline) of Fort Riley, KS, Caitlin Carroll (Randy) of Lincolnton, NC, Zachary Angel of Cumming, GA, Tristyn Sipsy (Matthew) of Cumming, GA, Tucker Bridges (Aberle) of Greenville, SC and Raegan Bridges of Winston-Salem, NC. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
