She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezequiel Aviles and Feliza Aviles; her husband Julio Aviles Reyes; her son Jorge Reyes; and her grandson-in-law Julio Guzman.
She is survived by: her children, Julio Reyes, Meriam Janice Marrero (Nelson), Marlene Reyes and Luis Reyes (Liz); her siblings, Felipa Cruz, Esperanza Garcia and Miguel Aviles; and her grandchildren, Iraida, Daniel Monroe, Brianna Erica Reyes, Joel, Jennifer Marero, Meriam D. Marrero, Meriam Y. Reyes, Malcolm Reyes, Ryoko, Christian Alexander Reyes (Sierra Armstrong) and Hannah Lizbeth (Tyler Hudson). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel (216 Archie Whitesides Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
