He is survived by: his wife Sarah Lytton Thornburg; his daughters, Gail Brannon (Gaither), Jane Clemmer (Sonny) and Jean McSwain (David); his daughter-in-law Rose Thornburg; his siblings, Tony Thornburg (Geri) and Brenda Guthrie; his grandchildren, Richard "Cannon" Buchanan (Yetta), Jeri Ross (Wayne), Billy Buchanan, Melissa Keever (Ricky), Jon-Thomas Thornburg (Deanna), Meredith Brannon, Michelle McSwain, Charlie Clemmer (Brittney) and Thomas Brannon (Amy); his great grandchildren, Cody Fleming, Tori Buchanan, Karli Keever, Ensley Clemmer, Isaac Bingham, Easton Clemmer, Nico Brannon, Aubree Thornburg and Lexie Thornburg; and his pet Prissie "Snowball". He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
