He was predeceased by: his father Rev. D. P. Herron; his wife Geraldean "Jerry" Herron; his daughter Edwina Herron; and his brothers, Jimmy, Kenneth and Eddie Herron.

He is survived by: his son Lynn Herron (Angie); his grandchildren, Kelsey, Tyler, Chloe, Chad and Delaney; his great grandchild Emile; and his pets, Maggie and Lucy.
