Betty Short Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Short (Gastonia, North Carolina), who passed away on April 18, 2019 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Rachel Pauline Edwards Pearson; her brother Lawrence Frederick Pearson, Jr. (Bucky); and her husband Paul. She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca Gay Short Lewis; her great grandchild Mary Kendall; her son-in-law Cecil; her children, Paul Edgar Short, Jr. (Linda) and Rebecca Short Lewis Banks (Cecil); her grandchildren, Lindy Short Blanks (William), Frederick Carlton Lewis (Alexandra) and Melanie Short Stephenson (Walter); and her great grandchildren, Ariel Melinda Blanks, James Noah Edwards, Blythe Rhylynne Edwards, Mary Kendall Edwards and Savannah Victoria Lewis.
