She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Grindstaff and Daisy McClellan Grindstaff; her husbands, Joe Clarence Bates and James Drennan; her siblings, Garland Grindstaff, J. H. Grindstaff, Callie Kelso and Daisy Beam; and her daughter Connie Renae Bingham.
She is survived by: her son Joe Bates (Regina); her siblings, Sue Grindstaff and Benny Grindstaff (Jane); and her son-in-law Dan Bingham. She is also survived by two grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
