She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion W. Rushing and Louella B. Rushing; her husband Wayne A. Thomason Sr.; and her brothers, Jerry L. Rushing, Heath Rushing, Ward J. Rushing and Tony Rushing.

She is survived by: her children, Ron Walker (Melody), Wayne A. Thomason Jr. (Sherry), Glenda Standridge, Beverly Mauldin and Andra Thomason Rushing (Randy); and her sister-in-law Alice Rushing. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Levine's Children Hospital 208 East Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28203.
