He is survived by: his grandchild Jovie; his wife Melinda Maddox Lunsford; his children, Tracie Lynn Lunsford Ogden (Benji) and Ben Lunsford, Jr.; his grandchildren, Ben Lunsford and Jovielynn Ogden; and his siblings, Bobby Lunsford (Mae), Pete Willis (Amy), John David Lunsford (Denise), Linda Willis and Rita Lunsford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
