She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Rector and Jenny Gray Rector; her husband Clifton Helton; her sons, Donald Helton and Terry Helton; her great grandchildren, Daisy Hester and Elijah Hester; and her siblings, Gypsy Montgomery, Lucille Jackson, Evelyn Brendle, Rose Mayne, Maude Hannah, Carl Rector, Reuben Rector, Arville Rector and Otto Rector.
She is survived by: her daughters-in-law, Susan Helton and Marion Helton; her grandchildren, Jenny Hester (Daron), Donald Helton, Jr. (Shana), Melissa Hartzell (Josh) and Shannon Baker (David); her great grandchildren, Helen, Sarah, Rosa and Andersen; and her sister Jenny Burgess.
The Helton family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Cramerton Baptist Church, 5006 Wilkinson Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28056.
