It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Lee Ball (Gastonia, North Carolina), who passed away on October 4, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Lee Martin and Ollie Ellis Martin; her spouse J. L. Ball; her daughter Brenda Ball; her granddaughter Nicky Broadway; and her sister Lib Messer.
She is survived by: her daughter Jane Ball; her sisters, Ruth Nottage, Pat Martin and Janie Benson; and her grandchildren, B. J. Helms, Mandy Dockery, Brittney Schaller, Landon Dockery, Ariel Mays, Isabella Martin, Cadence Dockery, Jacob Tollison, Kenneth James Revels, Christopher Schaller and Cameron Schaller. She is also survived by Numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Sharon Free Will Baptist Church (410 Reese St, Gastonia, NC 28056). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
