She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymon Franklin and Agnes Franklin; her granddaughter Heather Reneé Guin; and her sister Carolyn Creasman. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Guin and Joe Austin (Patty); her grandchildren, Curtis Austin and Shannon Ritzel; and her great grandchild Anthony Guin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Potter's House Home for Women, 54 Burmil Dr., Gastonia, NC 28054.
