She was predeceased by: her husband Max Perkins Gantt; her parents, Roy William Gosnell and Ruth Hendrix Gosnell; her children, Robert "Steve" Long and Melody Long Martin; and her stepdaughter Brenda Gantt Kerr.
She is survived by: her sister Sandi Gosnell Etters; her children, Patricia Askins, Lydia Terry (Michael), Libby Lever and Max Perkins Gantt; and her stepdaughters, Sherl Gantt Gaskins and Lynn Gantt Drennen. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
