She was predeceased by: her husband Bill; her parents, Joe Katon and Willie Mae Reid; and her siblings, Helen Taylor, Preston, Claude and Jack Reid.
She is survived by: her children, Amy of Gastonia, Jamee of Gastonia and Bill Jr. (Sandra) of Belmont; and her pets, Elsa Grace, Daigle and Forbes. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the First Arp Church (317 S Chester St, Gastonia, NC 28052). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
