He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Owenby and Christine Gibson Owenby; and his siblings, Harley Owenby, Jr., Betty Parker and Geneva Auten.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Pearson Owenby; his children, Angela Owenby Tyszka (James) of Gastonia and Scott Owenby (Margie) of Gastonia; his grandchildren, Haley Propst (Corey), Taylor Ross (Christopher), Evan Owenby and Christopher Tyszka; his great grandchildren, Mylie, Paisley, Kenton, Wyatt and Ellie Tyszka; and his siblings, Calvin Owenby (Sandra), Garland Owenby, Lois Montenegro (Frank), Ruth Robinson (Harvey) and Genevieve Owenby. He is also survived by many extended family and close friends.
