We are sad to announce that on October 19, 2024, at the age of 81, Aileen Dockery Walker (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Sevierville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Aileen Dockery leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Aileen Dockery may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Dockery and Mary Dockery; and her son David Edward Walker. She is survived by: her husband James "Ed" Walker; her siblings, Lowell Dockery and Gail Lindsey; and her granddaughter Olivia. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation (2916 Union Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Victory Baptist Church (1101 Lynnhaven Drive, Gastonia, NC 28052).
