She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd, Sr. Truesdale and Ossie Truesdale; her brothers, Lloyd Truesdale, Jr. and Fred Truesdale; her daughter Chandra Gardner Wilkins; her granddaughter Ashlei Dionne Davis; her goddaughter Lena Isaac; and her sister Shelia Rucker.
She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Gardner, Jr.; her daughters, Clarissa Gardner Davis (Melvin) of Charlotte, NC and Cynthia Gardner Jones (John) of Travelers Rest, SC; her grandchildren, Joetta Jefferies (Quincy), Chelsea Wilkins, Cara Wilkins Manning (Kelly), Cindi Jones, John Jones, Jr. and Richard Jones; her son-in-law Jerry Wilkins; her godchildren, Michelle Adams and Clayton Roberts; and her sisters, Rita Anderson, Mary Kinard, Geraldine Hicklen, Frelen Bellamy and Eva Brewer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews along with devoted friends.
