He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cescorio Shipton and Mary Williams; and his sister Barbara Weaver. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Shipton of Kings Mountain; his daughters, Samantha Neal and Tammy Farrow of Gastonia; his stepdaughter Blair Walker of Cherryville; his adoptive daughter Morgan Shipton of Kings Mountain; his sister Dorothy Weaver of Gastonia; and his grandchildren, Sonia, Donavon, Chloe, Delaney, Dominick, Joseph, Kennedy, Olivia, Bella, Cheyanne, Leland and Jaden.
He fought an 18 day battle against Covid-Pneumonia as well as Ecoli at the hospital in Shelby, NC.
