He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Dellinger Miller of Stanley, NC; his children, John Chandler Miller (Samantha) of Stanley and Mary Brooks Miller Sallah (Mohammed Sallah) of Stanley; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Brooks Miller, Madison McClure Miller, Macy Jo Miller of Stanley, Regine Loren Sallah, Elizabeth Yandeh Mea Sallah and Betty Brooks Ann Sallah; and his siblings, Bobby Miller of Little Rock, AR, William Miller of Stanley, Larry Miller of Stanley, Betty Duckworth of Stanley, Janice Bradsher of Charlotte, NC, Sandra Godin of Springfield, MA and Donna Markus of Fort Mill, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He spent countless time in support of Gaston County through his work with the RM Thompson Foundation, serving as a county commissioner, and his contributions to Belmont Abbey College as a Trustee and active Alumnus.
