He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Scott and Martha Jarrell Scott; his grandson David M. Davenport; and his siblings, Adam Scott, Jr., Margaret Beam, Mavis Tart, Minnie Haithcock, Maxine Nelson, Martha Alford and Linda Brown.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Scott; his granddaughter Brittney Davenport Moseley; his great grandchildren, Emalain Sinclair Moseley and Sysiedy Davenport; and his siblings, Marilyn Phelps (Tommy), Arlene Merritt, Irma Woodruff, Arvin Scott (Debbie) and Earl Scott. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
