He is survived by: his children, Angela Horton of Raleigh, NC, Lashelle Mangrum of Durham, NC and Eddie Mangrum (Tanaya) of Raleigh, NC; his stepson Arthur L. Short (Cheryl) of Enfield, NC; his siblings, Minnie Pearl Banks of Richmond, VA, Andrew Mangrum of Richmond, VA and Gladys Rawlings of Emporia, VA; his grandchildren, Jessica Wood (Devonte), Durwood Horton, Jr. (Brenna) and Mason Mangrum; his stepgrandchildren, Monique, Tenika, Donte, Montega and LaMesha; his great grandchildren, Genisis, Mariyah, Ava, Aniya and Harmony; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Anyree, Taevon, Danaya, Damiya and Tristian; his cousin Lawrence Short (June Turner); his siblings, Francis M. Plum, Harold, Glen, Joe, Levi and Robert Mangrum; and his parents-in-law, Woodrow and Virginia Short. He is also survived by neighbor turned son; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
