He is survived by: his significant other Irene Guiton Willis; his son Dwight L. Moody, Jr. of Lincolnton; his stepson Glenn Wesley Willis, Jr.; his siblings, Bobby, Mary and Vita Mae; and his grandchildren, Kristy Bravo, Chris Moody, Glenn Willis III (Nickie) and Arebella Willis.
