He was predeceased by: his parents, Dock Everette Scott and Glenna Mae Farley Scott; and his siblings, Robert Scott, Goldie Simmons and Willie Scott.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jack Scott (Tracy), Jesse Scott, Frances Scott, Sadie Pence and Pearley Lee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Gaston Baptist Church, 504 S Gaston St, Dallas, NC 28034.
