It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clifford Vernon Bartlett Jr. of Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Vernon and Pearl Edwards Bartlett; and his brother Larry Bartlett. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Spencer Bartlett; his daughters, Beth Hoover (Johnny) of Clover, SC and Kristi Spriggs (Tony) of Fletcher, NC.; his grandchildren, Karis Guy (Pres), Abby, Nate, Izzy Hoover of Patrick Bartlett, JP, Margeaux and AJ Spriggs; his great grandchild Spencer; his brothers, Gary Bartlett (Carol) of Belmont, NC and Corky Edwards (Cindy) of Brown Summitt, NC; and his sisters-in-law, Susan Bartlett of Greensboro, NC and Glenda Spencer Bartlett of Gastonia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salvation Army, 1506 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28054 or to Baptist Children's Home, 204 Idol Street, Thomasville, NC 27360.
