He was predeceased by: his brother Gary Lee "Ricky" Ray Jr.. He is survived by: his brother J. C. Ray (Janet) of Lincolnton; his nephew Cager Ray (Kristen); his niece Cassie Lynn Norman; his aunts, Martha Mullen (Neil) of Lincolnton and Norma Keever of Lincolnton; his uncle Jack Kale of Lincolnton; and his close friends, Michael Webb, Jerry Reel, David Baker and Mikey Reel.
