We bid farewell to William Ray Griffin (Garner, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 17, 2024 at the age of 90. William Ray touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ray Griffin and Sybil Barnes Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Patton Griffin; his children, Brenda Griffin Holladay (John) of Raleigh and William Bruce Griffin (Meredith) of Knightdale; and his grandchildren, Justin Holladay (Crystal), Daniel Holladay (Amanda), Stacey Lee (Jonathan), Connor Griffin and Bryce Griffin. He is also survived by great-grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended families that also include their orphanage brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Home for Children, 1040 Washington Street, Raleigh, N.C. 27605-1259.
