He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Whitfield; his children, Vivian, Braxton and Christopher Whitfield (Michelle); his grandchildren, Makayla Lewis (William) and Braxton Gage Whitfield; his great grandchild Liam Lewis; and his siblings, Maria Olivo, Frances Overton, Jean Overton and Wilburn Whitfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
