Alston of Holly Springs and Kevin Phillips of Apex; his grandchildren, Gregory Garris of Garner, Jaylen Johnson of Garner and Nyla Johnson of Garner; his brother William Alston, Jr. of Raleigh; his aunt Dorothy Hinton of Raleigh; his sister Marietta Stancil "Reesee" of Clayton; his niece Katrina Brown of Texas; his siblings, George (Shelia Thompson), Douglas (Janice Goodson), Jonathan (Frances Knowles), Gladys Goodson (Mildred Hunter), Janet Robinson of Williamsville, NY, Reverend Charles Goodson of Raleigh and Sandra Goodson of Raleigh; and his friend Please Note. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives.
