She was predeceased by: her parents, Garvey Welborn and Mildred Welborn; and her husband Joe Thompson. She is survived by: her daughter Tara Vester (Rodney) of Red Oak; her stepson Scott Thompson of Statesville; her sister Donna Edwards (Jack) of Rural Hall; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Vester, Caitlyn Coleman (Uriah), Peyton Vester, Parks Thompson, Lizzie Thompson and Connor Thompson.
