He was predeceased by: his mother Marion R. Caudle. He is survived by: his wife Faye Ellis Ray; his daughters, Markie Ray Leftwich (Cherrisa) of Dallas, TX and Wendy Ray Phillips of Clayton, NC.; his granddaughter Taylor Phillips of Hubert, NC; his great grandchildren, Weston and Blakely Phillips; and his brother Bobby Caudle (Tami) of Garner, NC..

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a charitable donation to St.Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory.
