It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vera Johnson Wright of Garner, North Carolina, born in Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Johnson and Faye Johnson. She is survived by: her husband David Wright of Garner; her children, Darren Nix (Lisa) of Clayton and Deana Nix Byrd of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Brittany Byrd, Jake Nix (McKenzie), Shelby Nix, Brooke Byrd, Alayna Nix and Lauren Price; her great grandchild Harper Marie Nix; her siblings, Deborah Summerlin (Tony) of Kenly, Wanda Johnson (John Everette) of Kenly, Edgar Johnson, Jr. (Jo Anne) of Kenly and James Johnson (Roxann) of Kenly; her friend Pat Curry; and her stepdaughters, Crystal Wright and Katie Wright Immler. She is also survived by 3 nieces and 8 nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (4815 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609).
