She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Liston Hunter and Bessie Paderick Hunter Norris; her husband James Earl Ezzell; and her brothers, Roger, Robert, Chester and Elmer Hunter.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Sumner (Kenneth) of Raleigh and Glynn Ezzell (LuNell) of Garner; her grandchildren, Mark Sumner (Stephanie), Ryan Ezzell (Heather), Aaron Ezzell (Rosario) and Jamie Ezzell (Jessie); her great grandchildren, Matthew Sumner, Kirsten Ezzell, Emily Ezzell, Taylor Ezzell, Piper Ezzell and Garrett Langdon; and her brother Nelson Hunter.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial gifts be sent in memory of Ruth to Transitions LifeCare, 200 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
