He was predeceased by: his parents, David E. Barbour and Lousie Hall Barbour; and his brothers, Ed Barbour and Sam Barbour. He is survived by: his wife Debra Coats Barbour; his son Joshua Lee Barbour (Heather); his sister Barbara Bissette (Mallie); and his granddaughters, Chloe Barbour and Emma Barbour.

While flowers are accepted, memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Baptist Church Music Department 3414 N Shiloh Rd. Garner, NC 27529.
