She was predeceased by: her husband Mike Smith; her parents, William K. Hyatt and Minnie Hyatt; and her siblings, McKiver Hyatt, Sherman Hyatt, Jesse Bernice Hyatt, Ervin Hyatt, Selia Wimbley, Eula Hoke, Della Kyle, Loudie Smith and Louella Brock.

She is survived by: her son Danny Ray Darden of Clinton; and her sister Laura Evens. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
