It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard William Packer Jr. of Garner, North Carolina, born in Rochester, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Richard William Packer, Sr.; and his sister Shyrl Sell. He is survived by: his wife Ann Krebs Packer; his children, Laura Carlisle (Joshua) and Michael Richard Packer (Erin); his grandchildren, Evan, Ava Carlisle, Ethan and Ryan Packer; his great grandchild Silvia Packer; his father-in-law Thomas Krebs; and his brother-in-law William Sell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
