He was predeceased by: his mother Eva Bell; and his nephews, Johnathan Gibbs and Aaron Spencer. He is survived by: his father Hyman Spencer; his stepmother Lilly West; his husband Ernest Buchanan; his daughters, Annie Buchanan and Lacey Woodard (Nathan); his siblings, Mary Tilles (Douglas), Shirley Dockery (Marty), Tina Niehaus (Rodger), Amanda West, Michael Spencer (Melissa) and Joey Jecker; his mother-in-law Shelia Buchanan; and his granddaughter Aubrey Davis. He is also survived by 12 nieces/nephews, and 10 great nieces/nephews.
