She was predeceased by: her parents, John Garner and Mary Garner of Selma, NC.; her brother Donald Garner; and her former husband James Douglas Barbour, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Richard Parsons; her sons, James Douglas Barbour, Jr. (Beth) of Wilmington and Bruce Wayne Barbour (Kathy) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Joshua Barbour (Megan), Sarah Smith (Alex), Courtney Barbour and Cameron Barbour; her great grandchildren, Everette Barbour and James Douglas Barbour, III; and her siblings, Kenneth Garner (Polly), Harold Garner, Carl Garner (Diane), Bruce Garner (Janice) and Joyce Tyner (Dennis). She is also survived by two children, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
