Godwin; her children, Bobby Glenn Godwin (Joyce) of Garner, Donna Gail Godwin (Anita) of Randleman, Gregory Henry Godwin of Garner and Amy G. McGinnis (Chesley) of Selma; and her grandchildren, William of Selma and Elizabeth of Selma.

A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home (1200 Benson Rd, Garner, NC 27529). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery (3414 N Shiloh Rd, Garner, NC 27501).
