He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Williams Stroud; his children, Gwendolyn Gilbert of Raleigh, Mary Ann Utley of Fayetteville, Gladys Marie Stroud of Raleigh, Jeanette Hodge (Thomas) of Louisburg, Barbara Jean Stroud, Navy L. Stroud Jr. and Dennis Hugh Stroud (Evangeline) of Benson; and his sister Rosa Lee Porter of Linden, NJ. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
