We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2018, at the age of 91, Mattie Newman (Garner, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Herman Newman Sr.; and her parents, Joseph Bain Parker Sr. and Mattie Parker. She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Benton of Zebulon, Saundra Dixon of Raleigh, Mike Newman (Judy) of Cary and Jimmy Newman (Gayle) of Benson; and her sister Imojean (Dennis Johnson) of Four Oaks. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
